The Ryukahn Desert was a small desert south of Crescent Lake. It was beneath these sands that the Airship was buried hundreds of years ago. The Warriors of Light used the mythical Levistone, recovered from the Cavern of Ice, to raise the ancient Airship from beneath the dunes.

GAME INFO
The Levistone must be obtained before raising the Airship from the Ryukahn Desert.

NAME ORIGIN
Ryu is the Japanese word for "dragon", and "kahn" may be related to khan, a Central Asian title for a sovereign or military leader. The word comes from the Mongolian word qa'an meaning "ruler". A desert is a region so arid because of little rainfall that it supports only sparse and widespread vegetation or no vegetation at all. The word comes from the Late Latin word deserere meaning "to abandon".
In Final Fantasy Origins, the Ryukahn Desert was mistranslated as Lykion Desert.
