The Mysidia Passage was a subterranean shrine beneath Mysidia, entered from a small island in the center of the ancient village. In the Passage, a statue of a Goddess was kept. This statue was said to watch over the Crystal Rods, the keys to entering the Mysidian Tower in the Sea to the north. While on their quest to enter the Tower and claim the Ultima Tome, Firion and his allies placed the Black Mask, recovered from the Tropical Island, on the Goddess statue. This act froze the insidious Doppelganger inside the Cave of Mysidia in its tracks, allowing the heroes to explore the Cavern and unearth a Crystal Rod.

GAME INFO
The Mysidia Passage is entered by a staircase on a small island in the center of the lake in Mysidia. Placing the Black Mask, found on B5 of the Tropical Island, on the Goddess statue will freeze the Doppelganger in the Cave of Mysidia, allowing the heroes to place the White Mask on it, causing it to disappear and opening access to the deeper levels of the Cave where a Crystal Rods can be found.

NAME ORIGIN
The origin of the name Mysidia is unknown, if you have any information please contact the Webmaster. A passage is an opening or entrance into, through or out of something. The word comes from the Old French passer meaning "to pass".
