NAME ORIGIN
    A mummy is the dead body of a human being or animal preserved by the ancient Egyptian process or some similar method of embalming. The word comes from the Arabic word mūmiyyah meaning "bitumen", the chemical originally believed to be used in ancient Egyptian embalming practices.
