NAME ORIGIN
A mark is a badge, brand or other visible symbol. The word comes from the Old English word mearc. A rose is a shrub or vine of the genus Rosa, having a prickly stem, pinnately compound leaves and variously colored, often fragrat flowers. The word comes from the Latin rosa which may derive from an Etruscan form of the Greek Rhodia meaning "originating from Rhodes".
