The Light of Time was an entity that manifested itself as a glowing purple orb. It demanded sacrifices to buy time and keep the Miasma at bay while completing challenges in the Labyrinth of Time. After the necessary sacrifices are made, the Light of Time opens the pathway to the next challenge.

GAME INFO
The Light of Time is encountered in the chamber before each challenge in the Labyrinth of Time. Sacrificing abilities (such as magic, items or various attributes during battle) can buy more time to complete the following challenge. Further sacrifices can be made during the challenge if time runs out by speaking again to the Light of Time.

NAME ORIGIN
Light is something that makes things visible or provides illumination. The word comes from the Old English word leoht. Time is the system of sequential events. The word comes from the Old English tima meaning "limited space of time".
