NAME ORIGIN
"Leg Eater" refers to the fact that this man-eating plant resides on the ground and eats legs that pass by. Leg comes from the Old English word leggr. Eater comes from the Old English word etan.
In Final Fantasy Origins, this enemy was named Strangler. To strangle is to kill by squeezing the throat in order to compress the windpipe and prevent the intake of air. The word comes from the Greek strangalan meaning "halter".
