Uttering the words "Jade Passage" to the mysterious seal in the Arcane Labyrinth, Firion and his friends were transported to a recreation of the fabled passage to Hell. Searching behind the cascading waterfalls, the heroes found a treasure chest storing an ancient stone tablet. Before they could inspect the tablet, however, the horrific demon Beelzebub appeared and attacked the heroes. They defeated Beelzebub, and reading the stone tablet, learned of an ancient traveler searching for the Land of Yore who scribbled his dying thoughts onto the tablet, claiming that "memories of the age of great Magicks lie on the other side of Oblivion", referring to the tales of the long forgotten land of Perseria.
