    The King of Palamecia ruled the lands of Palamecia many ages ago. A man of tremendous pride, he decreed that any man who could penetrate Castle Palamecia's defenses could claim his daughter as the prize. Many men attempted to scale the cliffs outside the fortress, or dig tunnels to enter the Castle, but none were successful. Finally one man had the ingenius plan to fill a bag with hot air and float up onto the Castle's rooftop. The enraged King ordered his soldiers to capture the man, but he was able to escape, taking the princess with him, and they floated up into the skies.
