NAME ORIGIN
A killer is someone or something that deprives the life of another. The word comes from the Middle English word killen. A mantis is a predatory insect of the order Mantidae, usually pale green and having two pairs of walking legs and powerful grasping forelimbs held in an upraised position as if in prayer. The name comes from the Greek mántis meaning "prophet, seer" due to its prayer-like stance.
