NAME ORIGIN
A flood is a great overflowing of water. The word comes from the Old English word flod. Gigas is a Greek word meaning "giant". This relates it to the Gigas Worm, not the Hill Gigas and related enemies. As far as I know, there is no mythological or literary meaning behind the name. It could possibly allude to the the great Flood that happened in the Old Testament. If you have any information, please feel free to contact the Webmaster.
