The Elf Prince was the leader of the Elves of Elfheim. He was the keeper of the Mystic Key, which was given to his forefathers by the royal family of Cornelia to hold until the coming of the Warriors of Light. He was to become the Elf King, but the evil Dark Elf Astos attacked the Elven Castle and placed him under a sleeping spell. The Warriors of Light defeated Astos and revived the Prince using Jolt Tonic brewed by the blind witch, Matoya.
Following the destruction of the Four Fiends, the awakened Prince was met by a delegation lead by Smyth and the Dwarves of Mount Duergar.

GAME INFO
The Elf Prince can be found in the the throne room of the Elven Castle. The player must defeat Astos and take the Crystal Eye to Matoya, who in turn gives the player Jolt Tonic to awaken the Prince and receive the Mystic Key.

NAME ORIGIN
Elves are mythical creatures found in Northern European folklore. Most depictions are of small, sprite-like creatures with magical powers. However, some interpretations, such as J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, depict Elves as human-like magical beings. The word comes from the Old English ælf. A prince is a non-reigning male member of a royal family, usually the son of a king. The word comes from the Latin princeps meaning "first, chief".
