ORIGINS NAME: Dr. Unne
DAWN OF SOULS NAME: Dr. Unne
ANNIVERSARY EDITION NAME: Dr. Unne

Dr. Unne was a scholar from Melmond studying the ancient language of the Lufenians, but he needed the legendary Rosetta Stone to finally translate the antiquated tongue. He regarded himself as a great genius and claimed to be known all over the world, however, aside from his brother in Onrac, very few people actually knew his name.
After the Warriors of Light recovered the Rosetta Stone from the depths of the Sunken Shrine, they took it to Unne who was finally able to translate the Lufenian language. He then taught the heroes this language and they were able to communicate with the citizens of Lufenia.

GAME INFO
Dr. Unne can be found in the northeast corner of Melmond. The player must bring the Rosetta Stone to him to be able to talk to the Lufenians and acquire the Chime needed to enter the Mirage Tower.

NAME ORIGIN
Doctor, in this sense, refers to a learned professor with a doctorate degree. The word comes from Latin where it means "teacher". Unne itself is a Scandinavian name. The Japanese name がくしゃのウネ may be translated as "Une" which is French for "one".
