NAME ORIGIN
Devil, in this sense, is another word for demon. The word "devil" originally comes from diabolos, a Greek word meaning "slanderer". A bloom is the flower of a plant. The word comes from the Old Norse blomi meaning "flower, blossom".
In Final Fantasy Origins, this enemy was named Evil Bud. Evil denotes something that is morally wrong or wicked. The word comes from the Old English word yfel. A bud is an undeveloped or rudimentary stem or branch of a plant. The word comes from the Middle English budde.
