Uttering the word "Destruction" to the mysterious seal in the Arcane Labyrinth, Firion and his friends were transported far into the past to relive the creation of the ultimate Black Magic spell, Destroy. As war raged around the ancient city of Perseria, a council was convened in a large fortress outside the city to come to a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Mages under the command of the General, worked tirelessly to create a powerful magic spell to stop the fighting. With the help of Firion and his allies, the mages concocted Destroy, but the council had reached a truce to end the war before the magic could be used. The General decided to appoint a Guardian to seal and watch over the Destroy Tome to insure it would not fall into the hands of evil. As the most powerful wizards and mages had already fallen in the war, the only other option, as suggested by Rahn, a noble of Perseria, was to appoint a young boy known to be so highly skilled in magic that he could even summon forth magical creatures. That boy was named Deumion, and, reluctantly, the council agreed that he must be the one to protect the Tome. The General ordered his troops to search Perseria for the boy and prepare him for his role as Guardian.

Destruction was the act of breaking and annihilating. After speaking the word "Hope" in the Arcane Labyrinth, Firion and his allies were transported back through time to a cavern near the ancient town of Perseria. The cavern was swarming with soldiers and deadly monsters. The heroes found themselves ambushed by a group of enemy troops, but were saved by the timely arrival of the powerful mage, Deumion. He used his magic to incapacitate the soldiers, leaving them unconscious. He lamented to Firion that although he has fought tirelessly to extinguish the flames of war engulfing his world, he feared that Destruction was imminent.

GAME INFO
Learned from Deumion in the Arcane Labyrinth's Hope dungeon after entering the north central chamber and being ambushed by soldiers.
