ANNIVERSARY EDITION NAME: Cryptic Tablet

The Cryptic Tablet was an ancient stone slab covered in glyphs. Firion and his allies discovered it while exploring the Mysidia dungeon of the Arcane Labyrinth. A great Fire Gigas blocked the heroes' path to an ancient statue of a Goddess. After appeasing the Gigas, they found the Tablet at her feet. A nearby explorer revealed that this Tablet was the treasure he had long been searching for, identical to one his colleague discovered in the ruins beneath the Labyrinth's Desert.

GAME INFO
The Cryptic Tablet is found in the "Mysidia" level of the Arcane Labyrinth. After giving the Fire Gigas a Potion, an Ether and an Elixir, he will allow the heroes to examine the Goddess statue and receive the Cryptic Tablet. Talking to the pilot wandering around the dungeon will reveal the key term "Desert".

NAME ORIGIN
Cryptic means something mysterious or puzzling. The word comes from the Greek kryptikós meaning "hidden". A tablet is a flat slab bearing an inscription, carving or the like. The word comes from the Middle French word tablete.
