NAME ORIGIN
    A cross is a structure consisting of an upright and a transverse piece, upon which people were formerly put to death. The use of a cross as a sacred amulet comes from Christianity, as a symbol of Jesus Christ's death and resurrection. The word comes from the Latin word crux.
