NAME ORIGIN
Crazy Horse was the name of a respected war leader from the Lakota tribe of Native Americans. He fought bravely against the United States to preserve the Lakota way of life. His name in Lakota was Tashunca-Uitco. A memorial to Crazy Horse is currently being constructed in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
In the original NES release, this enemy's name was MadPony. This was most likely due to space constraints on the length of enemy names. Mad means crazy and a pony is the name of any small horse from several breeds. The word pony comes from the Late Latin word pullamen, meaning "young of an animal".
