NAME ORIGIN
Copper is a malleable, ductile, metallic element with a characteristic reddish-brown color. The word comes from the Latin word Cyprian, meaning "of Cyprus", an island in the Mediterranean Sea where copper was mined. A cuirass is a defensive armor for the torso comprising a breastplate and backplate, originally made of leather. The word comes from the Late Latin coriacea vestis meaning "garment of leather".
In Final Fantasy Origins, this armor was called Copper Plate. A plate is a piece of armor made from a thin, flat piece of tough material.
