    The Chocobo Forest was a small patch of woods in the forest south of Kashuan Keep. It was here that Firion and his allies were able to tame the wild Chocobos and use them as mounts to travel and explore the world.

GAME INFO
    The Chocobo Forest is located directly south of Kashuan Keep. It is identified on the map by a small clearing in the woods surrounding Kashuan.
    Chocobos can only be found in the Chocobo Forest. In order to ride a Chocobo, the player needs to simply catch one of the birds running through the forest. After dismounting a Chocobo on the world map, it will run back to the Forest.

NAME ORIGIN
    The origin of the name Chocobo is unknown. If you have any information, please feel free to email the Webmaster. A forest is a large tract of land covered with trees and underbrush. The word comes from the Latin foris meaning "outside".
