    Chocobos were a race of large, yellow-feathered birds who lived in the Chocobo Forest south of Kashuan Keep. Firion and his friends were able to tame the wild Chocobos and use them as mounts to travel and explore the world.

GAME INFO
    Chocobos can only be found in the Chocobo Forest. While riding a Chocobo, there are no random enemy encounters. After dismounting, the Chocobo will run back to the Forest.

ADDITIONAL INFO
    This is the first appearance of Chocobos in a Final Fantasy title.
    A flock of Chocobos appears encircling the target when the Black Magic spell Confuse is cast.
