    The Chancellor of Cornelia was an advisor to the King. Initially skeptical of the Warriors of Light, he later became convinced that they were in fact the heroes of legend after they rescued Princess Sarah from the clutches of the evil knight Garland.

GAME INFO
    The Chancellor can be found in the King's throne room on the 2nd floor of Castle Cornelia.

ADDITIONAL INFO
    The Chancellor was added for the enhanced remakes of Final Fantasy I, he did not exist in the original game. He was not named, however, until the release of Dawn of Souls.

NAME ORIGIN
    A chancellor is a title of a person whose primary job is to be a secretary to a king or noble. The word comes from the Late Latin word cancellarius which means "doorkeeper".
