NAME ORIGIN
Black is the darkest color, at the extreme end of the grayscale opposite white. The word comes from the Old English blæc. Goblins are mischievous demons common to European folklore. The word itself derives from the Norman French word gobelin, which was the name of a ghost that supposedly haunted the town of Évreux in the 1100's. Black goblins have no basis in folklore or mythology and are probably just an invention of Square. If anyone has any information, please feel free to contact the Webmaster.
