NAME ORIGIN
Betrayal is the act of delivering or exposing to an enemy by treachery or disloyalty. The word comes from the Latin tradere meaning "to hand over". A fang is a long, sharp tooth of a carnivorous animal, or the long, hollow tooth of a snake used to inject poison into its prey. The word comes from Old Norse where it means "a grasp, a hold".
In Final Fantasy Origins, this item was called Backstabber. A backstabber is someone who attempts to attack someone unfairly, especially in an underhanded, deceitful manner. The word originated somewhere around 1920-1925.
