FINAL FANTASY II :: CHARACTERS

PRONUNCIATION: BAHR-ten-der
ORIGINAL JAPANESE NAME: Unknown
ORIGINS NAME: Unknown
DAWN OF SOULS NAME: Bartender
ANNIVERSARY EDITION NAME: Bartender

    The Bartender of the Fynn Pub was a man sympathetic to the Wild Rose Rebellion. However, when the Palamecian Empire invaded the kingdom of Fynn, he didn't make it out in time and was forced to serve the Empire's soldiers at the Pub. He still aided the Rebellion though, by harboring an injured soldier in a secret room behind the bar. When Firion and his friends first journeyed back to the occupied kingdom, the Bartender initially suspected they were Imperial soldiers. After discovering their loyalties, he allowed them to enter the Pub's secret room while he rushed out of the tavern. The heroes found the gravely wounded soldier, who turned out to be Prince Scott of Kashuan, who bestowed upon them his Ring as well as parting words for his brother, Prince Gordon, and the woman he loved, Princess Hilda.

GAME INFO
    The Bartender is only encountered once, the first time Firion and his friends enter the Fynn Pub.
