NAME ORIGIN
Baretta is an alternate translation of the Japanese name for this monster, Bulette. A bulette is a creature from the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game where it is a monster resembling a shark that lives on land.
    R. Ankylo stands for Red Ankylo in the original NES release. Ankylo is a shortening of Ankylosaurus, an herbivorous dinosaur from the Cretaceous Period with a hard, armored body and famous for its clubbed tail. Ankylosaurus means "crooked lizard" in Greek.
