NAME ORIGIN
An antidote is any type of medicine or remedy that counteracts the effects of poison, disease or some kind of serious injury. The word comes from antidoton, a Greek word meaning "to give as a remedy against".
In the original NES release, Antidotes were called Pure 's to signify that this item had the same effect as the White Magic spell Pure (Poisona).
