NAME ORIGIN
Antarctic means something relating to Antarctica, the continent surrounding the South Pole. Antarctica comes from the Greek compound word ανταρκτική meaning "opposite of the north". Wind is air in natural motion, moving horizontally at any velocity long the earth's surface. It is one of the four classical elements, along with earth, fire and water. The word comes from the Latin word ventus.
In Final Fantasy Origins, this item was called Notus. Notus was the ancient Greek personification of the south wind. The name comes from the Greek word Νότος meaning "south".
