The Aldean Sea was a large body of water that seperated the towns of Cornelia, Pravoka and Elfheim. It was inhabited by Buccaneers and various sea creatures. The Dwarven engineer, Nerrick, opened up a canal with the assistance of the Warriors of Light, allowing access by Ship to the outside world from the western reach of the sea.

GAME INFO
The Aldean Sea is accessible after defeating Bikke and his Pirates and claiming their Ship. After providing Nerrick with the Nitro Powder, a canal is opened up allowing access to the town of Melmond.

ADDITIONAL INFO
The construction of the canal was given its own cutscene in the enhanced remakes of Final Fantasy I.

NAME ORIGIN
The origins of the names Aldean and Aldi are unknown. If you have any information, please contact the Webmaster. A sea is a large expanse of saline water connected with an ocean, or a large lake that lacks a natural outlet. Until the completion of the canal, the Aldean Sea fits the latter description. The word comes from the Old English word .
